South Africa is known for its long sunny days, hence the title, ‘Sunny South Africa’. Most of the nine provinces have summer rainfall, except for the Western Cape, which experiences winter rainfall. The high-lying areas of the interior can be chilly in winter. The South African Weather Service uses the following dates for seasons:

Day 1:– Departure – arrival in Johannesberg – Drive to Sun City

Day 2: Sun City – Pilanesberg Safari
Breakfast at hotel After breakfast you can enjoy water world at Sun City Resort At 15:00 Optional Hi-tea at Palace Hotel Sun City Experience the heart of the famous Pilanesberg Game Reserve. Departure for Pilanesberg Safari from Sun City Palace hotel at 16:00 The reserve is a large wild game farm where Africa’s Big Five (lions, elephants, buffalo, leopards and rhinoceros) roam free and can be viewed by visitors throughout the year. Balance of the day is at leisure to explore the Resort. Sun City is home to two water theme parks, one dedicated to slides and rides, and the other to action-packed water sports. The Lost City’s premier attraction is Valley of the Waves, home to exciting water slides, a palm-fringed beach and lapping waves. The resort’s lake is home to Water world, where the attractions include something for the whole family, from bumper boats to parasailing. The Valley of the Waves Sun City’s premier water theme park - the Valley of the Waves - looks like a picture-postcard tropical island', complete with a sandy beach and lapping turquoise waters generated by a powerful wave machine. There is a water slide for every comfort level, from easy-going tubing along a gentle stream to semi-submerged waterslides that careen downhill and the truly hair-raising 30m (98ft) sheer drop!

The Water world facilities are open daily in summer between 9:30am and 18:30pm, and in winter between 9:30am and 17:30pm.
Day 3: Sun City – Pilanesberg Knysna
Transfer: After breakfast at 7:00am sharp transfer to Johannesburg Airport to catch George flight and transfer to hotel in Knysna Flight Departure: 10:40 Arrival in George: 12:35 Number of Nights: 2 nights Lunch & Dinner: Knysna Waterfront (own expense) The rest of the evening at Knysna Waterfront at your leisure, thereafter proceed back to hotel. Day 4: Full Day Knysna & Plettenberg Bay Tour
After breakfast at 10:00 we will proceed to visit Plettenberg Bay, Monkeyland and Birds of Eden. The Garden Route is one of the most scenic and sought after regions to visit in South Africa. It stretches from Cape Town to Port Elizabeth and offers some of the most spectacular scenery in the country, from lush forests to sandy white beaches. For nature lovers there are some of the most rewarding outdoor trails and hiking routes through mountain passes and along the coastline. Monkeyland & Birds of Eden Monkey land is the world’s first free roaming multi-specie primate sanctuary. The safaris are at Monkey land are guided walking tours into the forest where the primates have been released and are free-roaming. Day 5: Knysna – Oudtshoorn
After breakfast at 10:00am we will proceed to visit Cango Caves and Ostrich Farms in Oudtshoorn. Cango Caves is the only show cave in Africa which offers a choice of Heritage (easy) or Adventure Tours. All tours are lead by experienced, knowledgeable and accredited Caves Guides. Day 6: Oudtshoorn - Cape Town

Day 7: Cape Town City Tour & Table Mountain

Day 8: Cape Town – Cape Peninsula Trip
After breakfast at 9:30 proceed to visit Cape of Good Hope Nature Reserve, Boulders Beach Penguin Colony & Kirstenbosch Botanical Garden. This is an awe-inspiring tour to the towering headland known as Cape Point. Magnificent beaches, breathtaking views, historic and picturesque coastal villages are to be seen along the way. The Cape Peninsula is one of the world’s most scenic areas and stretches from the City centre to Cape Point. We travel along the Atlantic Seaboard via Sea Point, Clifton and Camps Bay, stopping at a Llandudno look-out point before continuing to Hout Bay, a quaint village and fishing harbour with magnificent mountain views and beach. After lunch at a nearby restaurant (not included in cost), we go on to historic Simon’s Town, a village with charming Victorian architecture, a naval base and a large penguin colony at the beautiful Boulders Beach. Boulders Penguin Colony (included in cost) is home to a growing colony of the vulnerable African Penguin. Wooden walkways allow visitors to view the penguins in their natural habitat and there is also a new information centre. We then make our way to visit the well-known Kirstenbosch Botanical Gardens. The Garden is one of eight National Botanical Gardens covering five of South Africa’s six different biomes. When Kirstenbosch, the most famous of the gardens, was founded in 1913 to preserve the country's unique flora, it was the first botanical garden in the world with this ethos. The garden is world-renowned for the beauty and diversity of the Cape Flora it displays and for the magnificence of its setting against the eastern slopes of Table Mountain.
